Another Somthin' Somthin'!

I've been following lots of craft and sewing blogs lately - my list of blogs I follow is growing and growing!! I recently discovered Disney's blog Ruffles and Stuff through Dana's Made. (Isn't that such a great name??) These two craft/sewing geniuses have teamed up for the next couple of weeks and are both having daily posts about things that you can get or make for moms for Mother's Day. I love it! I am always excited to see what they have posted :)

The other day, Disney posted an idea about a flower cuff and I thought I'd give it a whirl, especially because Joann's silk flowers were half off - yay!

So here are my results!

I've been having lots of fun with these crafty things lately :) Jimmy got me a sewing machine for Christmas and it's been really relaxing to be able to create things with it, especially because I'm home so much now and don't have a lot of stress relief. I never would have known before I had Stockton that listening for a baby to wake up from his nap can get a person really anxious!

Anyhow, this little project was really fast and if Stockton hadn't woken up half way through, then it probably would have only taken an hour or so. I was going to make one for my mom for Mother's Day but I'm not sure if this type of thing is really her style. I have a feeling it would be the equivalent to her wearing the macaroni necklace that I made her when I was 4. I have some other people in mind who I would like to give it to for a gift but I want to give it to someone who would like it enough to wear it but not look too closely at the craftmanship, hahah. We'll see! Maybe I will just keep it and if anyone says anything about it when I wear it, I will just make them one :)
